Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has admitted he is "not convinced" the club have enough in order to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Alan Shearer has admitted he is "not convinced" Newcastle United have enough in order to survive in the Premier League this season.

The Magpies were unable to hold on to their 1-0 lead against Norwich City in midweek, with Teemu Pukki managing to score an equaliser in the 79th minute to earn his team a draw.

Newcastle remains the only club not to have won a single game in the division, which has led to Eddie Howe's team finding themselves at the bottom of the table.

"I am not convinced they will have enough. They now look to Saturday's game against Burnley, again, you are going to hear it's a must-win game over the next few days," Shearer stated on Amazon Prime.

"Same as tonight. It has been 14 games (winless) and the longer it goes on the harder it becomes."

Newcastle United will face Burnley at the weekend as they continue their search for a victory in the Premier League as they currently remain six points adrift of safety.
