West Brom added to Newcastle's slump in form with a 3-2 win at the Sports Direct Arena tonight.
After a flying start to the season, Alan Pardew's side have now lost four of their last six games, the other two being draws.
West Brom were first to get on the scoresheet when Peter Odemwingie found the net from just outside the penalty area on 19 minutes.
The hosts found their equaliser a quarter hour later, however, when Demba Ba scored from a long range free kick.
Gareth McAuley took the visitors into the break with the advantage when he headed in from Paul Sharner's cross.
The second half appeared to be an uneventful affair until a marathon finish saw Newcastle draw level again before losing out in the dying moments.
Demba Ba made it a brace ten minutes from time, shooting into the top right corner of the goal from just outside the penalty area.
Just five minutes later though, Sharner made it three for Roy Hodgson's side, sneaking in a goal from close to seal the three points.
The win moves West Brom up to tenth in the table, while Newcastle stay put in seventh.
