Sacking Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has reportedly never been an option for club owner Mike Ashley.
The coach's position at St James' Park has come under pressure from supporters in recent weeks due to the Magpies' winless start to the season.
Protests were planned for Saturday's match against Hull City, but it was far from the predicted mass outcry as Newcastle came from behind to secure a 2-2 draw on home turf.
According to the Daily Star, despite discontent among a section of fans, Ashley does not believe that sacking Pardew is the answer and he has not once considered dismissing the 53-year-old manager.
The ex-West Ham United boss signed an eight-year contract in 2012.
