Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew reportedly has no plans to try to sign Queens Park Rangers striker Charlie Austin during next month's transfer window.
It is understood that Pardew has drawn up a shortlist of centre-forwards that he is eager to acquire, with some speculation having suggested that 25-year-old Austin was in his thinking.
However, despite the fact that he has scored eight goals for the R's this term, Pardew has no interest in securing Austin's services, according to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
Austin's QPR take on Everton in the Premier League tonight, but he will play no part at Goodison Park because of a one-match suspension.
