Hatem Ben Arfa has reportedly decided to resist any attempt from Newcastle United to force him to leave the club this summer.
Magpies manager Alan Pardew is believed to be eager to sell the Frenchman in the current transfer window, but reports have suggested that no offers have been made for his services.
According to The Mirror, Ben Arfa is willing to remain at the club for another year, rather than push through a move before the start of the new Premier League season.
The 27-year-old is rumoured to have fallen out with Pardew during the latter stages of the last campaign, and has been forced to train with the club's younger players since returning from his summer break.
Ben Arfa moved to Newcastle from Marseille in 2010.
