Newcastle United's Yohan Cabaye ignoring transfer speculation

Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has attempted to distance himself from transfer speculation by claiming that he is focused on the season ahead.

The 27-year-old has been linked with a return to France following reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain, as well as Premier League champions Manchester United.

"I'm just working hard. We have to be focused and ready for the first game on August 19," Cabaye told The Chronicle.

"The feeling in the squad is very, very positive. It's nice to work in this atmosphere."

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew recently claimed that he is determined to keep Cabaye at St James' Park.
