Guingamp manager Jocelyn Gourvennec has admitted that the club will be unable to sign Sylvain Marveaux to a permanent deal next summer.
Newcastle United allowed Marveaux to join the Ligue 1 side on a season-long loan in July, but Guingamp's budget means that securing his services for a longer period is unrealistic.
"We know that when operating at this level, Marveaux is not a player for Guingamp," Gourvennec told reporters. "His future is not here.
"Marveaux is very creative and very influential in the game. He is a player of the highest level."
The 28-year-old's Newcastle contract does not expire until 2016.
