Newcastle United are reportedly monitoring the progress of France Under-21 striker Paul-Georges Ntep.
Alan Pardew's side have struggled for goals this season, netting only seven times in seven Premier League games.
Rennes striker Ntep, 22, is understood to be a target for Newcastle, who reportedly sent scouts to watch him in France's Euro 2015 playoff qualifier against Sweden, according to The Chronicle.
Ntep has scored seven goals in 17 appearances for Rennes since joining from Auxerre in the summer.
