Newcastle United are reportedly aiming to complete a deal for Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella before the start of the World Cup in Brazil next month.
The 24-year-old recently admitted that he will consider his future if any offers arrive at the club.
The Magpies are said to have renewed their interest in Cabella following their failed attempts to seal his signature in the January transfer window.
According to The Shields Gazette, the North-East outfit have offered around £6.5m for Cabella, but the French club are holding out for a fee in the region of £8m.
Cabella is on the standby list for France's World Cup squad.
