Newcastle United plan Nathaniel Clyne swoop

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew is reportedly targeting Crystal Palace right-back Nathaniel Clyne as a replacement for Danny Simpson.

Newcastle United are reportedly hopeful of signing Crystal Palace right-back Nathaniel Clyne.

The 21-year-old, who is out of contract next month, has been a firm fixture in the first team at Selhurst Park this season, making 31 appearances.

Magpies boss Alan Pardew is wary that Danny Simpson may depart the club this summer and he sees Clyne as a direct replacement, according to The Mirror.

However, Clyne is keen to play for Manchester United and is said to be holding out for a glamorous move to Old Trafford.
