Swansea City have reportedly accepted a £12m bid from Newcastle United for midfielder Jonjo Shelvey.
Interim Swansea boss Alan Curtis admitted recently that the Welsh club would consider any "firm offers" that were made for the England international.
Crystal Palace had been linked with the 23-year-old, but according to Sky Sports News, it is the Magpies that have won the race.
It is expected that Shelvey will now travel to Tyneside for a medical and contract negotiations, with the deal potentially being concluded later today.
Should the move go through, Shelvey will become the second player to have joined Newcastle this month following yesterday's arrival of Henri Saivet from Bordeaux.
