Alan Pardew: 'More Newcastle United signings possible'

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew reveals that the club are still looking to add to the squad, despite making their seventh signing of the summer.

Alan Pardew has revealed that Newcastle United could make more signings before the end of this summer's transfer window.

The club announced that they had signed Facundo Ferreyra on a season-long loan from Shakhtar Donetsk earlier, making him their seventh new arrival since the end of the 2013-14 season.

The manager told the Daily Mail: "We've always maintained that we will watch the window until the last hours. We've done some terrific business and I think it must be exciting for Newcastle fans that we've got some terrific, offensive players.

"I feel much more comfortable with the team and we can play a brand of football which is expected of us. I think we could really trouble teams this season, which is something we didn't do in the second half of last season."

Newcastle will face Manchester City in their opening match of the Premier League season.
