The Magpies are believed to have made it known to clubs in England and Ben Arfa's native France that he is available for transfer.
However, that has failed to generate any offers or enquiries for the 27-year-old, according to The Journal.
If a buyer cannot be found, the report added that Alan Pardew is prepared to integrate the playmaker back into his squad at St James' Park.
