Newport County midfielder Robbie Willmott faces lengthy absense

Newport County midfielder Robbie Willmott reveals that he will be out for five months after learning the full extent of the foot injury suffered against York City.

Newport County midfielder Robbie Willmott faces five months on the sidelines after injuring his foot in the 3-1 win over York City last weekend.

The 24-year-old's scan revealed the seriousness of an injury which will leave him sidelined until next year.

"Injury worse than first thought, out for five months" he said, according to BBC Sport.

The midfielder joined from Cambridge United in 2013 and watched colleague Chris Zebroski score a last-minute winner for County as they beat Dagenham & Redbridge 1-0 on Saturday.
