Nicolas Anelka scores on Shanghai Shenhua debut

Nicolas Anelka scored on his Shanghai Shenhua debut as they lost 3-2 at rivals Beijing Guoan on Friday night.

The former Chelsea striker had missed the first game of the Chinese Super League season with a knee injury.

Shanghai had found themselves 2-0 down against their rivals, but Anelka's second-half goal drew his new club level.

However, a late goal earned the hosts the win.

Anelka moved to China in January after four years at Stamford Bridge.
