FA chairman Greg Dyke: 'Richard Scudamore sexism row an issue for Premier League'

Greg Dyke says that the row over Richard Scudamore's emails is a matter for the Premier League to deal with and does not concern the Football Association.

Greg Dyke has said that the row over Richard Scudamore's emails is a matter for the Premier League to deal with and does not concern the Football Association.

Premier League chief executive Scudamore made controversial remarks about women in private emails which were leaked to The Mirror.

FA chairman Dyke today distanced himself from the issue, saying: "This remains a matter for the Premier League to consider.

"The FA remains wholly committed to promoting diversity and will continue to work on challenging discrimination and developing future women leaders."

Scudamore has acknowledged that the comments were "inappropriate" and apologised for "any offence caused".
