Swiss team FC Basel have appointed Heiko Vogel as the club's coach on a permanent basis.
The 36-year-old took temporary charge in October following Thorsten Fink's decision to take over the vacancy with German club Hamburg.
Basel have lost just one game under Vogel's stewardship and they knocked Manchester United out of the Champions League last week.
"We have been convinced of Heiko right from the beginning and given the results in the last week this is a logical step," said Basel vice-president Bernhard Heusler.
Vogel has previously coached Bayern Munich's youth team.
