Club Tijuana put entire squad on transfer list

Mexican outfit Club Tijuana put their entire squad up for sale after finishing 14th in the Liga MX this season.

Club Tijuana have announced that every single one of their players will be up for sale this summer following a disappointing season.

The Mexican outfit won just three of their 17 outings throughout the 2015-16 campaign, eventually finishing 14th in the Liga MX table.

Former Los Angeles Galaxy player Juninho is among the squad, managed by former Mexico coach Miguel Herrera, although there is no guarantee that he or any of his teammates will still be at the club next season.

"Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles officially announces that all the players on the current roster are eligible for transfer for the upcoming LIGA MX 2016 Clausura season," read a statement from the club.

"The Xoloitzcuintles begin the pre-season June 6 at Estadio Caliente where players will undergo physicals and medical measurements as part of the first phase of the pre-season. Club Tijuana will then hold camp on the beaches of Mazatlan, Mexico June 9 to 19.

"Meanwhile, there are two confirmed pre-season games, both in the United States. The Xoloitzcuintles face Club Santos Laguna June 24 at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, the home of Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake. The second friendly is June 29 against Cruz Azul at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum."

Tijuana finished the season with just 18 points - six clear of bottom-placed Chiapas.
