Report: Michael van Praag, Luis Figo, Prince Ali to join forces against Sepp Blatter

Michael van Praag says that he could collaborate with Luis Figo and Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein to maximise the chances of ousting Sepp Blatter from the FIFA presidency in May.

Michael van Praag has said that he will speak to fellow FIFA presidential candidates Luis Figo and Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein about collaborating with each other against current head Sepp Blatter.

One possibility is that two of the candidates could stand down and lend their support to one candidate.

"We are talking to each other now," Van Praag told Sky Sports News.

"I'm very satisfied that Mr Figo and Prince Ali are also candidates because we only have two-and-a-half months. In two-and-a-half months it is impossible to change the mind of people by yourself.

"They're doing it, I am doing it. This gives us the opportunity to try to change the minds of as many people as possible. We may sit together and say we keep it as it is or we may change it. Now it is too early to say that."

The FIFA presidential election is due to take place in Zurich on May 29.
