Terry Venables has been named the new technical director of Combined Counties League Premier Division side Wembley FC.
The former England boss will act as a mentor to Wembley's current team manager Ian Bates.
Venables has revealed that opportunity to offer guidance to "an eager group of players and coaches" was too much of a temptation to turn down.
"Managing, coaching and teaching football has been an essential part of my life for over 30 years," said the Barcelona coach. "This opportunity to share my knowledge of decades with an eager group of players and coaches was too important to turn down.
"If they are willing to learn, I am willing to teach. Grassroots football is essential for the lifeblood of the professional game and if I can leave Wembley FC in a better position than I found it then it will be a job well done.
"It is early days but the signs are encouraging."
The appointment of the 69-year-old has come as part of the club's new sponsorship deal with FA Cup lead partners Budweiser.
