Half-Time Report: Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalty gives Paris Saint-Germain the lead over Nice

A first-half penalty from Zlatan Ibrahimovic gives Paris Saint-Germain a 1-0 half-time lead over travelling Nice in Ligue 1 at the Parc des Princes.

Paris Saint-Germain have continued to put pressure on Ligue 1 leaders Marseille, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic giving the Parisians a 1-0 half-time lead over travellers Nice at the Parc des Princes this afternoon.

Nice were the first side to seriously threaten in the opening stages as Alassane Plea forced a great stop from Salvatore Sirigu down to his right corner after he was picked out by young defender Gregoire Puel.

PSG soon hit back, however, and it was Ibrahimovic who almost gave his side the lead, but for the left post that saw to the Swede's left-footed shot from the centre of the box.

The miss wasn't to prove too costly given that Sweden's top international scorer converted a penalty in the 15th minute, after Lucas drew a thoughtless foul from Romain Genevois in the area.

Eric Bautheac did his best to put Nice back in the game as he picked out Plea just minutes before half time, but Sirigu was there again to thwart the striker with a smart stop down at the left post.
