Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Nice vs. Lille

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Nice vs. Lille.

Nice vs. Lille (Sunday, 2.00pm)

In one of the games of the weekend in Ligue 1, top-four hopefuls Nice and Lille lock horns at the Allianz Riviera on Sunday afternoon.

Both are currently on six-game unbeaten runs domestically, and were held to draws on home soil in Europe during the week.

We say: Nice 1-1 Lille

The most drawn Ligue 1 fixture of the last 20 years looks devilishly difficult to predict once again, with both clubs on impressive unbeaten runs domestically, and pushing for the top four.

Genesio has never beaten Haise as a manager in five previous meetings, and while Lille will certainly be competitive, it is tough to separate the two, and yet another draw between these sides looks on the cards.

Montpellier vs. Brest (Sunday, 4.00pm)

After another excellent week in Europe, Brest return to domestic matters by visiting a woefully out-of-form Montpellier HSC side in Ligue 1 on Sunday evening.

A change in management has done little to turn the tide for the hosts, who are in danger of losing their top-flight status after 17 years in Ligue 1.

We say: Montpellier HSC 0-1 Brest

Despite being in the bottom half, Brest's start to the Ligue 1 season has been more than respectable considering they are also juggling European commitments, and they will fancy their chances of a fourth straight away win here.

All four of Montpellier's points have come at home this season, but the humbling they received from Toulouse in their last outing suggests familiar surroundings may do little to save them here.

Le Havre vs. Reims (Sunday, 4.00pm)

Looking to record back-to-back wins for only the second time this season, relegation-threatened Le Havre will host European hopefuls Reims to Stade Oceane for a Ligue 1 battle on Sunday afternoon.

Les Ciel et Marine managed a much-needed success over bottom side Montpellier HSC last time out, whilst Les Rouges et Blancs' worrying form continued with defeat at the home of Toulouse.

We say: Le Havre 1-1 Reims

Buoyed by a rare win over Montpellier last time out, Le Havre should be relatively confident of building some momentum with a result on Sunday afternoon.

Aiming to avoid a fourth straight defeat, Reims are set to face a tricky test at Stade Oceane, where they could be forced to share the points.

Rennes vs. Toulouse (Sunday, 4.00pm)

After a humiliating defeat on the road last time out, Rennes return to Roazhon Park on Sunday afternoon, when mid-table dwellers Toulouse will be the visitors for a Ligue 1 clash.

Les Rouge et Noirs are without a permanent manager following the loss at Auxerre last weekend, whereas Les Violets are aiming to extend their unbeaten run in the league to four matches.

We say: Rennes 1-2 Toulouse

Regardless of their managerial issues at present, Rennes should be relatively confident of earning a result this weekend considering their respectable record at Roazhon Park.

That being said, Aboukhlal and Toulouse come into this clash in red-hot form and should have too much to handle for Les Rouge et Noirs on Sunday afternoon.

Lyon vs. St Etienne (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Lyon and Saint-Etienne meet for the 124th edition of the Derby du Rhone-Alpes in Ligue 1 on Sunday night, in the league's final outing before the international break.

Given the fierce rivalry between the two, there will be no away fans in attendance, as the game has been designated 'very high risk' by the authorities.

We say: Lyon 2-0 Saint-Etienne

Lyon are unbeaten in five Ligue 1 games, and in their last 21 against newly-promoted sides, but they will be seeking three points here, as opposed to merely extending that run.

Form may often go out the window on derby day, but this will be a difficult place for Saint-Etienne to turn their awful away record around at.
