Chris Wilder, Jay Simpson win November's League Two awards

Northampton Town boss Chris Wilder and Jay Simpson of Leyton Orient are named the League Two Manager and Player of the Month for September.

Chris Wilder and Jay Simpson have been named League Two Manager and Player of the Month respectively for November.

Away from the field last month, Northampton Town struggled to get their finances in order and it looked like a potential takeover from Kelvin Thomas would fall through and leave the club in danger of becoming extinct.

However, the deal did happen and on the pitch the Cobblers had a perfect month with four wins out of four to join Oxford United and Plymouth Argyle at the top of the table.

Leyton Orient striker Simpson is the league's top scorer with 15 goals in 20 games and netted four of the East London side's six goals in November to clinch the player award.
