Northampton Town have secured the services of Rod McDonald.
The defender, who has agreed a 12-month contract at Sixfields, recently underwent a trial period with the League Two club.
"I've enjoyed my time here. The lads and the gaffer have all been different class to me. Hopefully I can break into the team," he told the club's official website.
McDonald, 23, spent time in the academies at Manchester City and Stoke City earlier in his career, but more recently he has played non-league football.
