Sunday's Nations League predictions including Switzerland vs. Portugal

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Nations League fixtures, including Switzerland vs. Portugal.

N. Ireland vs. Cyprus (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Northern Ireland head into Sunday's UEFA Nations League fixture with Cyprus knowing that they are now scrapping to avoid relegation to the fourth tier.

Both teams have just one point from three fixtures, leaving them eight points behind the Group C2 leaders, and a loser in Belfast will be on the brink of finishing in bottom spot.

We say: Northern Ireland 1-0 Cyprus

All things considered, this game is unlikely to feature many goals, both managers being fearful of what defeat could mean. Nevertheless, home advantage may prove key for Northern Ireland, and a solitary goal may be enough to buy Baraclough some time in the dugout.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Norway vs. Sweden (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Scandinavian neighbours Norway and Sweden will lock horns at the Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo for their fourth League B Group 4 fixture in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday night.

The Blue and Yellow will be seeking revenge against the Lions, after losing 2-1 on home soil in the reverse fixture last week.

We say: Norway 3-1 Sweden

While Sweden have talented attacking options who could cause problems for Norway in the final third, we feel that Haaland and co will have plenty of joy against the visitors' weakened backline.

Andersson's men cannot really afford to lose on Sunday if they are to keep the promotion hopes alive, but considering the form and firepower that Norway possess, a home victory could be on the cards.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Georgia vs. Bulgaria (Sunday, 5.00pm)

Georgia head into Sunday's UEFA Nations League fixture with Bulgaria knowing that victory could be enough to seal promotion to the second tier.

At a time when the home side sit five points clear at the top of Group C4, Bulgaria are seven points adrift and coming off the back of one of the most deflating results in their history.

We say: Georgia 2-1 Bulgaria

After such a disappointing result earlier this week, you have to expect a response from Bulgaria. However, that is not to say that it will be enough, and our full backing goes to Georgia who are starting to look like they could be a force when it comes to qualification for Euro 2024.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

N. Macedonia vs. Gibraltar (Sunday, 5.00pm)

After a crushing home defeat in midweek, North Macedonia will seek to close the gap to top spot in their UEFA Nations League group, as they host outsiders Gibraltar on Sunday.

The teams meet for the second time in the space of a week, this time at Skopje's Tose Proeski National Arena, with three more League C Group 4 points at stake.

We say: North Macedonia 3-0 Gibraltar

Seeking to close out an underwhelming quartet of June fixtures with a resounding victory, North Macedonia should certainly secure maximum points at home in Skopje, as their opponents tend to struggle when away from the Rock.

With a sizeable advantage in terms of top-level experience and technical ability, the hosts should already have victory wrapped up before easing off in the final stages.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Switzerland vs. Portugal (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Top meets bottom in Sunday's League A Group 2 UEFA Nations League showdown, as a pointless Switzerland side welcome group leaders Portugal to Geneva.

The hosts fell to a 1-0 defeat to Spain on Thursday night, while Fernando Santos's side eased to a 2-0 success over the Czech Republic.

We say: Switzerland 1-2 Portugal

Switzerland have seemed devoid of ideas on the attacking front for large periods of their Nations League campaign so far, but the prospect of sweeping Portugal changes could play into the hands of Yakin's side in front of the home crowd.

Then again, Portugal need no lessons in finding the back of the net themselves, even if Santos makes a big call regarding Ronaldo, and the Selecao should retain their healthy lead at the top before jetting off for their well-earned holidays.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Spain vs. Czech Republic (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Spain will look to end the month's UEFA Nations League fixtures on a high note when they welcome Czech Republic to Malaga for Sunday's League A Group 2 encounter.

La Roja scraped a 1-0 win over Switzerland during their midweek battle, while the visitors' most recent Iberian trip saw them suffer a 2-0 loss to Portugal.

We say: Spain 1-0 Czech Republic

Even if Enrique does opt to put out a second-string XI for the final matchday of this month, La Roja's options in reserve are certainly formidable, and Silhavy has generally been loath to change his setup over the course of June.

Such a tactic may not reap its rewards as his players battle fatigue, and given Spain's hot streak in front of goal, we are backing Enrique's side to dig deep and post a second consecutive victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 2.5 goals.

Slovenia vs. Serbia (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Serbia's Luka Jovic celebrates scoring their first goal with teammates on June 9, 2022© Reuters

Serbia will be looking to win their third successive UEFA Nations League match when they travel to the Stozice Sports Park in Ljubljana for their encounter with Slovenia on Sunday night.

The hosts will be seeking revenge against the Eagles, after they lost 4-1 away from home in the reverse fixture last week.

We say: Slovenia 0-2 Serbia

Slovenia showed their defensive resilience to keep out Norway on Thursday, but they may struggle to keep the likes of Mitrovic, Milinkovic-Savic and Tadic quiet in the final third on Sunday.

The visitors were clinical in their last encounter against the hosts and they should have no problems in securing maximum points again in Ljubljana.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Greece vs. Kosovo (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Greece's Anastasios Bakasetas celebrates scoring their first goal with teammates on March 25, 2021© Reuters

Aiming to extend their perfect record in the UEFA Nations League this summer, Greece welcome closest group rivals Kosovo to Volos on Sunday.

The teams reconvene at Panthessaliko Stadio after the hosts won 1-0 in the Kosovar capital last week, and the pair are clear at the top of the early League C Group 2 table following victories in midweek.

We say: Greece 3-1 Kosovo

Meetings between these two nations - fairly frequent over the past couple of years - have tended to be tightly contested, with Greece dictating play but their Kosovar counterparts often grinding out a draw.

While the visitors have lost only one of their last six fixtures, that was against the Greeks last week, and the visitors can now complete the double in short succession, as they continue to flourish under new management.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Malta vs. San Marino (Sunday, 7.45pm)

Malta will be expected to bounce back from their disappointing defeat in midweek when they welcome San Marino to the Ta' Qali National Stadium on Sunday.

The hosts lost out on a potential promotion decider with Estonia in Group D2 of the UEFA Nations League on Thursday, whilst the visitors fell to a narrow defeat in an international friendly against Iceland on the same evening.

We say: Malta 2-0 San Marino

Although Malta are not the most formidable side to face the minnows of San Marino, they remain huge favourites to come out with a comfortable victory on Sunday.

There are no signs to suggest that the hosts will struggle in their task, and we are going for a repeat of the 2-0 scoreline earned away from home against their opponents on June 5.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
