Northern Ireland goalkeeper Roy Carroll is in Notts County's starting XI for their League One clash against Coventry City on Saturday afternoon, despite having turned out for his national side on Friday evening in Romania.
The 37-year-old lined up between the sticks for his country's 2-0 defeat to the hosts in Bucharest, which finished just before midnight local time.
According to BBC Radio Nottingham's Colin Slater, Carroll caught a flight from the Romanian capital to London Heathrow airport at 7am.
The veteran stopper is then said to have collected his car and driven up the motorway to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, before reporting to Magpies manager Shaun Derry and declaring that he was fit to play.
Carroll went on to keep a clean sheet as Notts beat Coventry 1-0, Garry Thompson scoring the winner in the second half to put the Magpies fourth in League One.
