Lawrie Sanchez has admitted that he was "surprised" to see his name linked with the vacant Northern Ireland manager's position.
The 52-year-old, who is currently in charge of League Two side Barnet, has claimed that he has not submitted an application for the role.
"I was surprised on Friday when I saw my name was on the shortlist because I hadn't applied for the [Northern Ireland] job," he said.
"I'm happy in my job at Barnet and want Barnet fans to know that."
Sanchez previously managed the Northern Ireland national side for three years up until 2007.
