Norwich City striker Grant Holt is hoping that new England manager Roy Hodgson will give him a chance as Euro 2012 draws near.
The 31-year-old has surprised many by firing in 14 Premier League goals this season, helping the Canaries to 13th place in the Premier League.
There have been calls for Holt, who is the second highest English scorer in the league behind Wayne Rooney, to be given his chance at international level.
Holt admitted that his style of play may not be fashionable but feels that he has done enough to deserve his first cap.
"I'm not fashionable, have you seen my clothes? It doesn't matter who has got the job, I just do my own job. I'm just scoring goals," The Mirror quotes Holt as saying.
"You don't know how someone will do until you give them a game. If he goes on goals and performances, then I'll have a shot."
Norwich signed Holt from Shrewsbury Town in 2009.
