Norwich City playmaker Wes Hoolahan is facing an extended spell on the sidelines after damaging his ankle ligaments over the weekend.
Canaries boss Neil Adams today said that no timescale had yet been determined for the injury, but did confirm that the 32-year-old had undergone a scan after injuring himself in the 1-0 defeat at Fulham on Saturday.
"He said on Sunday that he thought it would feel worse than it did, which is slightly positive news," Adams told the club website.
"Obviously there's damage in there, he has injured himself but in terms of putting a timescale on it, I think that will only be determined in the next two or three days when the medical people have got together and decided just how bad it is."
Hoolahan, who is the Canaries' longest-serving player, had started all 12 of Norwich's league games this season.
