Gary Hooper and Jonny Howson are expected to return to the Norwich City squad for this evening's League Cup tie away at Shrewsbury Town.

The duo, who have been suffering with calf and knee complaints respectively, recently featured in an Under-21 encounter against Leicester City.

Having come from that fixture unscathed, Norwich boss Neil Adams has hinted that they both will be included against the Shrews.

"They're both fine, they both came through the Under-21 game. They had an hour and we haven't had any reaction so they will be back in the fold," the Eastern Daily Press quotes Adams as saying.

Adams also confirmed that attacking midfielder Wes Hoolahan will be rested for the tie.
