Chris Hughton hopeful over Sebastien Bassong

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has revealed that Sebastien Bassong's hamstring injury is not as bad as first feared.

The 27-year-old defender was forced to limp out of Saturday's 1-0 defeat at home to Aston Villa in the Premier League.

"Sebastien Bassong will have a scan on his injury today (Monday)," Hughton told reporters. "We don't think it's too bad."

Norwich return to action on Tuesday when they make the trip to Championship side Watford in round three of the Capital One Cup.
