Chris Hughton wary of St Mary's atmosphere

Hughton wary of St Mary's atmosphere

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has warned his side to expect a "wonderful atmosphere" when they face Southampton on Wednesday.

The Canaries are currently on a seven-match unbeaten run after beating Arsenal and Manchester United since the October international break.

City face a Saints side who have earned two wins and a draw from their last three games, and Hughton believes that the two will clash in a noisy atmosphere at St Mary's.

"Southampton are a team playing well at the moment, they are at home, and we will need to give a good account of ourselves to get something," said Hughton. "It is about going into our game the way we have of late, showing our confidence, and trying to nullify the quality that they have got, but also play our own game.

"At home they create a wonderful atmosphere and are a team playing with confidence.

"They are on the back of a good win at Queens Park Rangers, and I think they took that into the game against Newcastle, so it will be a tough one."
