Norwich City manager Alex Neil has said that Canaries winger Wes Hoolahan is 'playing the best football of his career'.
The 33-year-old currently leads the Premier League assists table with five in Norwich's first seven games of the season.
"We have set the team up to bring the best out of Wes and at the moment he is doing really well. He has a specialised role in the side and the team is set up to exploit his talent to the maximum," Neil told reporters.
"His job is basically to go out and cause the opposition as many problems as he can. We give him the freedom to just go out and play and he is probably having the biggest impact he has ever had.
"He has complete freedom to express himself and give us that attacking edge and he is doing that job superbly at present."
Hoolahan, who has 20 caps and two goals for the Republic of Ireland, has been with Norwich since 2008, making over 200 appearances for the club.
