Norwich City sack first-team coach Mark Robson

Norwich City have confirmed that first-team coach Mark Robson has been sacked with immediate effect.

The Canaries have won just one of their last eight matches in the Championship, putting them two points adrift of the playoff places.

Norwich have not revealed the reasons behind Robson's departure from Carrow Road.

"City can confirm first-team coach Mark Robson's contract has been terminated with immediate effect," read an official statement. "The club would like to thank Mark for his work on behalf of Norwich City and wish him well for the future."

Norwich are back in Championship action on November 22 when they entertain Brighton & Hove Albion.
