Norwich secured their passage into the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 win over Burnley this afternoon.
It was the home side who started the match the stronger and they found themselves ahead after barely six minutes when Grant Holt headed home an Andrew Surman cross.
Simeon Jackson made it 2-0 to Norwich five minutes later with another thumping header. Burnley refused to lie down, however, and Jay Rodriguez headed home a Ross Wallace cross in an eventful opening 15 minutes of football.
A penalty was awarded to the home side after 30 minutes when Charlie Austin was penalised for hand ball, but Holt fired the ball wide.
Norwich did make it 3-1, however, on the hour mark when Jackson found Surman, and the former Southampton man produced a cool finish inside the area.
Steve Morison made it four for Norwich after 73 minutes with a cool finish as Burnley struggled to cope with their attacking talent.
Norwich continue their league campaign against West Brom next weekend, while Burnley travel to Middlesbrough.
