Alex Neil has admitted that it has been a "disappointing" summer so far from a transfer perspective for Norwich City.
Since winning the Championship playoff final in May, Norwich have only been able to make Graham Dorrans a permanent signing and add Youssouf Mulumbu to their ranks.
The Canaries have been unable to land many of their top targets so far, including Hull City's Robbie Brady, and Neil admitted a bit of frustration.
"We had a really good atmosphere in the squad towards the end of the season and have continued in that vein so far, which is a good thing," Neil told the club website.
"The only sort of disappointing thing from our point of view is the targets we have tried to attract, we have not managed to get in yet, because you want to try to incorporate them into the group, to make sure everyone is functioning how they can and that we are all in it together, but when you have not signed these players, that can't happen."
After one season in the Championship, Norwich begin life back in the Premier League at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday, August 8.
