Half-Time Report: Nottingham Forest come from behind to lead Reading

Chris O'Grady and Nelson Oliviera give Nottingham Forest a 2-1 half-time lead over Reading in the Championship.

Nottingham Forest have come from a goal down to lead Reading 2-1 at half time thanks to goals from Chris O'Grady and Nelson Oliviera.

Matej Vydra earned a recall to the Reading side this afternoon and repaid Steve Clarke's faith in him with the opening goal after 14 minutes, as he calmly slotted home the ball after Oliver Norwood's shot was deflected into his path.

O'Grady had the chance to respond immediately, but dragged his effort wide after advancing into the area.

Nonetheless, the forward netted his first Forest goal in the 21st minute as he turned home Ryan Mendes's low cross.

Mendes then laid on the second goal for Forest, as he teed up Oliviera, who curled a precise 20-yard shot into the top corner.

Reading almost levelled on the stroke of half time, but Dorus de Vries tipped Norwood's free kick around the post as it threatened to creep into the corner of the net.
