A goal from Greg Halford has given Nottingham Forest a 1-0 lead over Peterborough United at half time.
Both sides were evenly matched in the opening stages, with neither really threatening to take the lead.
The deadlock was finally broken after 28 minutes when Henri Lansbury's corner fell to Halford, who fired home from inside the area to make it 1-0.
Davide Petrucci shot from the edge of the area on the 30-minute mark, though his effort went just wide of the post.
Tommy Rowe then sent in a fine cross as the Posh looked to find an equaliser, but Halford was on hand to clear for the home side.
