Dexter Blackstock relishing clash with former teammates

Dexter Blackstock says that facing off against some of his former Nottingham Forest teammates will "add something" to their clash with Huddersfield Town.

Nottingham Forest striker Dexter Blackstock has admitted that facing a few familiar faces will provide "some added spice" to this evening's clash against Huddersfield Town.

Three of Blackstock's former teammates - Ishmael Miller, Joel Lynch and Elliot Ward - are all expected to play a part for the Terriers in the Championship match.

Jamie Paterson will be forced to watch on from the stands, meanwhile, under the terms of his loan agreement between the two clubs.

Miller believes that facing a few old friends will bring something extra to the match, but insists that the target remains the same nonetheless - picking up all three points at the John Smith's Stadium.

"Every one of those players who have played for us before - we know how good they are," he is quoted as saying by the Nottingham Post. "I have had a few battles with Lynchy in the past and Wardy is another player we know well.

"There are a few familiar faces there, which can make things feel a little different. We have already come across something similar with Rotherham. It can help you, because you will know their strengths and weaknesses.

"But, at the same time, they will know yours. The challenge remains the same, it is just about dominating your opponent, whoever they might be. There is some added spice to knowing your opponent, it can add something to it. I am sure it will be a good game. We will go there with confidence."

Town head into the game sitting two points below their opponents in the Championship table.
