Nottingham Forest go down to Helsingor in pre-season friendly

Nottingham Forest's winless pre-season continues with a 2-1 defeat against second-tier Danish outfit Helsingor.

Nottingham Forest's winless pre-season was extended to three games as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Helsingor this evening.

The Danish second-tier outfit took the lead inside a minute as Martin Koch picked out the far corner with the outside of his boot.

Jamie Ward was close to an equaliser not long after, while Koch almost doubled the hosts' advantage before the break.

Triallist Darius Henderson missed two chances to level the scores after the interval, and Forest soon fell two behind as Ricki Olsen smashed home a volley.

The visitors scored a late consolation through Tyler Walker in the 88th minute, but could not find another in what remained for a share of the spoils.

Dougie Freedman's side now return to England and their next friendly is against Stevenage on Friday.
