Derby County claimed victory during this afternoon's East Midlands derby, despite losing goalkeeper Frankie Fielding to a red card in the first minute.
Fielding brought down Nottingham Forest's Ishmael Miller inside the area and was handed his marching orders. Andy Reid took the resultant penalty kick, beating substitute keeper Adam Legzdins.
Visiting Derby hit back before the break courtesy of Jamie Ward, who converted Jason Shackell's assist into the bottom left hand corner of the net.
The winning goal came 20 minutes from time when Jeff Hendrick drilled into the bottom right hand corner of the net from outside the area.
Next weekend Forest travel to Watford, while Derby host Millwall.
Both matches will be played on Saturday, September 24.
