Adlene Guedioura returns to Nottingham Forest after terminating his contract with Middlesbrough.

Adlene Guedioura has terminated his contract with Middlesbrough in order to seal a return to Nottingham Forest.

The 32-year-old spent 18 months with Forest in 2012 and 2013, featuring 61 times in all competitions, before moving on to spells with Crystal Palace, Watford and Boro.

The Algerian found game time virtually non-existent during his 12 months at the Riverside, making just one start for the club in their New Year's Day clash with Preston North End.

In a statement this evening, Boro said: "The club have terminated the contract of Adlene Guedioura by mutual consent, allowing the player to move on and continue his career elsewhere."

Forest subsequently announced the re-signing of Guedioura on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
