Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis reportedly decides that he will sign for a Turkish club on loan over the coming days.

Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis has reportedly decided to move to a Turkish club before the end of their transfer window.

Last August, Forest acquired the services of the Nigeria international from Watford in a deal that was said to be worth in the region of £10m.

The expectation was that Dennis would become a key player at the City Ground, regardless of the amount of signings that were being made by the East Midlands outfit.

Despite contributing 10 goals and six assists for the Hornets in the previous top-flight campaign, Dennis could not replicate that form with Forest during 2022-23.

Just six starts and 13 substitute outings came during the club's first season back in the Premier League, with two goals and two assists being contributed during 715 minutes of football.

There had been potential for Dennis to make an impression in Steve Cooper's squad for this season, but the deadline day signings of Callum Hudson-Odoi and Divock Origi have rendered him surplus to requirements.

Options for Dennis have been limited courtesy of the minimal transfer windows still open, the potential door to Saudi Arabia being shut last week.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old has now settled on the fact that a switch to Turkey is the option that he must take for regular action.

Romano says that either Adana Demirspor or Istanbul Basaksehir have presented loan proposals to Forest where they will cover his wages in their entirety.

Dennis will now decide which club to join before close of business in Turkey later this week, the attacker having rejected the chance to move to Russian side CSKA Moscow.

Each of Demirspor and Basaksehir are off the pace in the top flight right now, particularly the latter who have lost all three matches without scoring a goal.

As a result of Demirspor losing in the Europa Conference League playoffs, neither side will feature in continental football for the remainder of the campaign.

With Dennis possessing a contract at Forest until 2026, it is unclear whether any loan switch will include any option to buy.
