Lille forward Michael Frey to move to Nottingham Forest?

Swiss under-21 international Michael Frey is reportedly close to a season-long loan move to the City Ground.

Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for Lille striker Michael Frey.

The 21-year-old struggled in his first season in Ligue 1 and Forest are reportedly hoping to complete a season-long loan move with an option to buy Frey next summer for £2.5m in the next few days.

According to The Sun, Frey's wages come under what Forest are allowed to pay under their Financial Fair Play restrictions, which will be lifted next summer.

The Swiss under-21 international scored just twice in 15 appearances for Lille last season after scoring 17 goals in 73 appearances for his first club Young Boys.
