Nottingham Forest have agreed an undisclosed fee with ADO Den Haag for the permanent transfer of Wesley Verhoek.
A statement on the club’s website said: “The 24-year-old right winger will travel to Nottingham today to meet manager Steve McClaren to discuss personal terms and have a medical examination.”
It is thought that Verhoek caught the eye of McClaren when he was an established first team regular for Den Haag while McClaren was in charge of FC Twente.
Fulham were also reportedly interested in the Dutchman.
