Nottingham Forest release seven out-of-contract players

Nottingham Forest confirm that seven out-of-contract players will leave the club this summer.

Nottingham Forest confirmed this afternoon that seven out-of-contract players will leave the club this summer.

Matt Derbyshire, Simon Gillett, Jonathan Greening, Gonzalo Jara, Ishmael Miller, Guy Moussi and Marcus Tudgay will have to find new homes next season.

Greening issued a statement on the club website, which read: "I will look back fondly on my time at Forest and I truly hope the club achieves its dream of promotion to the Premier League as soon as possible.

"It is my intention to continue playing for at least another season as I feel fit and capable of making a positive contribution to a team."

Stuart Pearce is due to officially take charge at the City Ground on July 1.
