Shaun Derry is reportedly on the verge of becoming the new Notts County manager.
The 35-year-old is still a Queens Park Rangers player, currently on loan at fellow Championship side Millwall, but is said to be ready to hang up his boots and take over at Meadow Lane.
According to BBC Radio Nottingham, Derry could be confirmed as Chris Kiwomya's successor within the next couple of days, with ex-Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott set to become his assistant.
County are currently bottom of League One with 10 points from 15 games.
Derry began his career with the Magpies, making 93 appearances for the club between 1995 and 1998, before having stints with Sheffield United, Portsmouth, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and finally QPR.
