Former Liverpool and Leeds United winger Harry Kewell has reportedly been approached about taking the reins at Notts County.
The 39-year-old, currently manager of Crawley Town, has guided the League Two side to two wins and one draw in their opening five games of the campaign.
County, meanwhile, are on the lookout for a new manager after former Premier League midfielder Kevin Nolan was dismissed last week.
According to the Nottingham Post, the bottom side in League Two were granted permission to speak to Kewell on Tuesday afternoon.
The report also claims that the Magpies have requested to speak to AFC Wimbledon manager Neal Ardley, with a new manager sought before the weekend encounter with Forest Green Rovers.
Kewell has been head coach of Crawley since May 2017, winning 18 of his 57 games in charge.
