George Elokobi signs for Oldham Athletic

Former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender George Elokobi signs a one-year deal with Oldham Athletic.

Oldham Athletic have secured the signing of former Wolverhampton Wanderers defender George Elokobi.

The left-back was released by Wolves at the end of the season after making 103 appearances for the club during a six-year stay.

Since his Molineux exit, the 28-year-old has spent time training with the Latics, and after he impressed during a friendly with Huddersfield Town, he has been handed a one-year contract.

Elokobi could make his debut in Oldham's League One opener against former club Colchester United on Saturday afternoon.
