Oxford United sign former Bradford City and Exeter City defender Luke O'Brien on a free transfer.

Oxford United have completed the signing of former Bradford City and Exeter City left-back Luke O'Brien.

The 24-year-old was a free agent, having been released by Exeter during the summer following a six-month spell at St James' Park.

"He is a player we have seen a number of times over the years and he has always impressed," Oxford manager Chris Wilder told the club's official website.

"He has a lot of games under his belt considering his age and is keen to do well here.

"He has a chance to come in, show us what he can do, and be part of what we are trying to build."

O'Brien is likely to be involved in tomorrow's League Two meeting with Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium.
